Burt’s Bees Spring
Lip Balm
TASK

Design a unique springtime offering from Burt’s Bees lip balms where part of the proceeds from each sale would go to a “Save the Bees” campaign. 

 

These were marketed to young women who like flavored lip products and care about companies giving back. These lip balms would be shelved near the register to inspire impulse buying.

 
SOLUTION

I used bright spring colors appropriate for the unique flavors to grab attention. Illustrations of the fruit were used as icons to reinforce the fun flavors. I kept the layout options age appropriate with graphics that would appeal to young women. Our team worked with a writer who created different headlines for each design option.
