Soy Vay Style Guide, Recipe Card & Display
TASK

Clorox purchased Soy Vay, and the design team updated the packaging. The brand was fun and quirky, celebrating the flavorful sauces developed by the founders of Asian and Jewish descent.

I was assigned to design and execute a style guide to showcase Soy Vay’s new brand look and voice. This document would inform designers and vendors how to create a consistent brand look across all platforms.

SOLUTION

For the style guide, I looked for fun, on-brand ways to depict the correct use of the design elements within the system. I was able to show the brand’s personality and my creativity in unexpected and informative ways featuring the food photography and illustrations developed for the brand.

Next, I extended the brand’s new look and voice to collateral and store displays. I explored these brand elements further, creating a fun and engaging brand experience on the display and a recipe card. I used the brand blue, the typefaces, and photography to create a consistent look. I featured the illustrations, layering them into the designs, creating texture and a unique brand character.
